On this trip, I traveled alone to Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. I had the opportunity to fly with Thai Airways, our national airline, because the ticket prices were friendly to my wallet 🙂 One of the things that made me happy on this trip was that on my return flight, the airline used a new aircraft model, the Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner, for the short-haul flight that took only 1 hour and 25 minutes. So, I want to share my review with you all.

I arrived at Tan Son Nhat International Airport – Ho Chi Minh (SGN) at around 5:00 PM (3 hours before the flight departure). Thai Airways checked me in at row A, and I had already done an internet check-in, so I could go straight to the baggage drop area, which was shorter than the regular check-in queue.

After checking in and receiving my boarding pass, I went through the immigration and security process. Today, I would be boarding at Gate-18, which was not far away, and it was a weekday with few people, so I had some time to relax and wait for my flight at the airport. Ho Chi Minh City airport was not big, and there were not many shops to choose from.

About an hour before the flight, I went to the gate. When I arrived at the gate, the aircraft from Bangkok had just arrived, and it was ready to take us back to Bangkok for another flight. :-)

About 7.40PM, the boarding annoucement had been performed.

After I got to my seat, I explored the amenities and features of the seat pocket. This model had a personal PTV and a USB charging port for phones. The seat was also spacious enough for a tall person like me, standing at 183 cm. It was even suitable for long-distance flights.

After all passengers had boarded, the flight was pushed back and taken-off on time. When the cruising altitude had been set. I started to survey the lavatory.

Then, the Cabin Crew served a snack box, which was only one option, Seafood Spaghetti and Cranberry Cake. After that, they served tea, coffee, and drinks, and I chose apple juice. :-P

After that, I sat back and enjoyed the atmosphere inside the Dreamliner for a while. The plane gradually descended for landing at Suvarnabhumi International Airport.

The plane landed smoothly and I arrived in Bangkok safely. This flight was a small bonus for a short flight, but the airline still provided me with excellent service on a state-of-the-art aircraft like the Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner :-)
