My second day in Czechia. I planned to spend the day trip to another world heritage city in the southern part of the country, Český Krumlov. To get there, the easiest and most affordable way is the bus. The traveling time is just only 3 hours. For this trip, I used Flixbus which has widely network in Europe and many countries around the world. The ticket cost was just only 10 – 14 EUR/trip (depended on the date of travel). So, I decided to book the bus ticket in advance to get the seat as this city is one of the most popular place in Czechia. My bus trip schedules are following.
Outbound : Prague (Florenc Bus Station) – Český Krumlov (Špičák) / 08.00AM – 11.05PM
Inbound : Český Krumlov (Špičák) – Prague (Florenc Bus Station) / 05.00PM – 08.00PM
Today, I woke up at 7AM to take a shower, get dressed and have easy breakfast at the hotel. Then, I walked to Florenc Bus Station which is just 900 meters away. I arrived at the bus station just 10 minutes before departure time. After I checked the platform number for my bus, I walked there and the bus was waiting for the passenger already. 🚌

Upon all passengers were boarded, the bus was departed on-time. It was stopped on the way for 2-3 stations to pick-up and drop-off the passengers. About 3 hours from departure, the bus was arrived Český Krumlov (Špičák). As I booked the bus ticket back to Prague already, departure time was 5PM. It meant I have about 6 hours to enjoy to fairy tails city. 😍

From the bus stop, I could walk to the center of Český Krumlov by use the overpass. The first place what I would start is Český Krumlov Castle which is just 700 meters away.
Český Krumlov Castle rises above the town and has shaped its story for more than 700 years. Built in the 13th century, it was once the home of powerful noble families who ruled this region. The castle shows a mix of Gothic, Renaissance, and Baroque styles, which you can clearly see as you walk through its courtyards. Inside the complex, there are elegant halls, painted corridors, the castle theater, and the beautiful castle gardens. One special highlight is the Cloak Bridge, which connects different parts of the castle. From the castle viewpoints, you get one of the best top views of Český Krumlov, perfect for photos. Český Krumlov Castle is open daily (except Monday), 9AM – 4PM. The entry to the castle complex is free. But it might have occasional paid exhibition in some day. 🏰

I spent about 2 hours to wander around Český Krumlov Castle and enjoy the stunning view point. About 1PM, I continued my trip to Latrán street, the main street of Český Krumlov Old Town.
Latrán Street is one of the most charming streets in Český Krumlov and runs along the lower side of the castle complex. This street was formed in medieval times and once served as the main road for people living and working near the castle. Today, Latrán is lined with colorful houses, many decorated with painted details and historic signs. Small shops, cafés, and galleries fill the street, making it lively and fun to explore. Important spots along Latrán include the Castle Gate, old town houses, and quiet corners with great views. Walking here feels like stepping into a storybook town.

In the afternoon, the light snow was coming and I decided to have lunch at K & K Krumlov, a local kebab and pizza restaurant. Then, I walked to Svornosti Square to warm by body at a coffee shop as well as have a rest there.
Svornosti Square is the main square of Český Krumlov, surrounded by colorful historic houses. It has been the town’s center for markets and daily life for centuries, and today it’s a lively meeting point for visitors.

Once the energy had been regained, it was about 3PM. I moved to the next point, Church of St. Vitus which is just 100 meters away.
The Church of St. Vitus is an important landmark in Český Krumlov, built mainly in the 1400s as the town grew in wealth and influence. Standing near the river, its tall Gothic shape and pointed tower add drama to the town skyline. Outside, the stone walls and narrow windows give it a strong medieval look. Inside, the church feels calm and spacious, with high arches, old wooden benches, and beautiful stained glass that colors the light. Visitors can also see historic altars and paintings, offering a quiet moment away from the busy streets. The Church of St. Vitus open daily with free entry, 9AM – 4.30PM (Sunday is open on 11AM).

Once I came out from The Church of St. Vitus, accidentally, I used my phone to Google for souvenir shop to grab some small gifts. But I could see the eye-catching word in one website, secret viewpoint in Český Krumlov, Seminární Zahrada which is just 130 meters away. I had no hesitation to go there immediately. It had only few visitors there and I could admire Český Krumlov in different point-of-view !

About 4PM, it was almost sunset time and the sky was getting dark. I decided to bid farewell to Český Krumlov. I spent my last hour here to find some souvenir from the shop at Latrán street before heading back to bus stop, Český Krumlov (Špičák) where I arrived this morning.
The bus to Prague was departed on-time. During 3 hours on the bus, I could relax with the night view of Czechiz countryside with little snowy atmoshere. That moment made me feel calm and windless. It was the tranquil time to re-consider everything in life.
At 8PM, the bus was arrived at Prague (Florenc Bus Station) and I walked to the hotel through the city in the vibrant night with the contentment from the fairy tale day in Český Krumlov. Finally, I could complete my 2 days in Czechia with impressiveness in 2 different moments, historic city vibe in Prague and fantasy world in Český Krumlov. The next day, I would leave Prague in the early morning to catch the train to next country, Vienna – Austria. Lastly, even it was just 2 days in Czechia, but it is unforgttble days in my lofe. This country had given me the satisfactory experience. 💖
