My fourth in Poland, the last day in this country. I would spent my last moment in Warsaw to catch-up all missing places from the previous days. Today, I woke up quite late, about 8AM as I would make the day chill and slow day. After I took shower and had easy breakfast at the hotel, I was ready to start my downtown walking trip. The first place what I would visit is Staszic Palace. From the hotel, I took the tram line 16 to Metro Świętokrzyska stop and continue to walk about 800 m. Actually, Staszic Palace is just located near by Warsaw Old Town Area where I just visited on second day.
Staszic Palace is a historic building in central Warsaw, built in the early 1800s and named after Stanisław Staszic, a respected Polish thinker and scientist. The palace was rebuilt after World War Two and now features an elegant classical design with a balanced shape and tall columns. In front of the building stands the famous Copernicus statue. With its architecture and open space, Staszic Palace is also one of the nicest spots for photos in the Warsaw Old Town area.

I just spent few moment to capture the chic photo with Staszic Palace. Then, I walked to the next place what is just 600 meters away, Saxon Garden.
Saxon Garden is one of the oldest public parks in Warsaw, created in the early 1700s as part of a royal palace garden. It later became a public park and a popular place for locals to relax. During World War Two, much of the garden was destroyed, but it was carefully restored after the war. Today, Saxon Garden is known for its wide paths, fountains, statues, and peaceful atmosphere. It is a quiet green space right in the heart of the city, perfect for a slow walk or short break. The park is publicly open 24/7 with free admission.

I strolled around the garden to admire the autumn atmosphere during the weekday. The peaceful and quietness of the park made me feel calm and realize about the life. It was for a while I did not feel such moment during the busy life. Sometime, happiness is just one step away. As soon as we can stay with ourselves and take a look to the world, we can see the truth.
From Saxon Garden, about 11AM, I walked for 400 meters back to Krakowskie Przedmieście Street for my next place, Presidential Palace which is one of the most important buildings in Warsaw. Built in the 1600s, it has served many roles, including a noble residence and a government building. Today, it is the official home of the Polish President. The palace features elegant white architecture, wide open space, and a large courtyard facing Krakowskie Przedmieście Street. With its grand appearance and central location, the Presidential Palace is a must-see in Warsaw, and visitors should not miss taking photos here.

Next, I walked to Warsaw Old Town Area where I visited 2 days ago. Because it still had one place what I still did not keep in my memory yet, St. John Archcathedral which is just 800 meters away from Presidential Palace.
St. John’s Archcathedral is one of Warsaw’s oldest and most important churches, with origins dating back to the 1300s. It played a key role in Poland’s royal and religious history. The cathedral was heavily damaged during World War Two and later rebuilt to reflect its original style. Outside, its red-brick Gothic look stands out in the Old Town. Inside, visitors can see historic tombs, memorials, and a calm space that reflects Warsaw’s long and resilient history. St. John’s Archcathedral is open daily, 6.30AM – 8PM with free admission.

After visiting St. John’s Archcathedral, it was 1PM, I decided to end-up the sightseeing for today and in Poland. Because I would spend my remaining time in the afternoon for finding some souvenir and shopping at department store in the downtown. Then, I went back to the hotel about 3PM to checkout and pack my stuffs as I would have long train travel this night. IT WAS THE NIGHT TRAIN TO PRAGUE 🇨🇿😍
Indeed, I bought the train ticket about 2 months ahead to get the good price for sleeping car in Train No.: EN407 Chopin which is the night train experience to would like to try at once in my life. The train departure time from Warsaw Central Station is 8PM and arrive in Prague main station at 7.50AM next day.
Note : The train ticket can be purchased from Polrail official site : https://www.polrail.com/en
At 6.30PM, after I had dinner and checked out from the hotel (I just paid small extra cost for late checkout and remain at common area until evening 😋), I walked to the train station and arrived there about an hour before departure time.
The train was arrived at the platform no.3 about 7.50PM. The important things is I had to board to the correct car as each car would be splited on the way to its destination (e.g. Prague, Budapest, Vienna. etc.). Otherwise, you might wake-up with the wrong place. But don’t worry, the train crews are pleased to assist you to get the right car and cabin 😀
The sleeper couchette train is quite luxury. It come with pillow, blanket and drinking water. In the room, it has basin and amentiky kit. At the lavatory, it has both toilet and shower facility 🚿. The train was departed on-time. Then, the train crew would come to each room to ask for the breakfast. It has 2 choices, savory set and sweet set. The crew would knock the door and serve the breakfast at 7AM.

So, today, it was the chill and relax day to brush-up my brain & mind from the daily life. It was the real resting day to make the life slower than regular day. Then, at the end of the day, I felt excited as I would find the new chapter of my life to step on the new destination on the next day. See you tomorrow…Prague. 😍
