แต่ละประเทศก็มีวัฒนธรรม ความเป็นอยู่ และสภาพแวดล้อมที่แตกต่างกันไปครับ การที่เราเรียนรู้ถึงเรื่องเหล่านี้ก่อนที่จะไปเยือนประเทศนั้นๆ ย่อมทำให้เราสามารถใช้ชีวิตขณะท่องเที่ยวได้อย่างราบรื่น รัสเซียก็เช่นกันครับ หากเราทราบถึงเรื่องราวเล็กๆ น้อยๆ ก่อนที่จะเดินทาง ก็ย่อมทำให้เราไม่พลาดอะไรที่มันสำคัญและสามารถเข้าถึงการท่องเที่ยวแบบเจาะลึกได้ไม่ยาก วันนี้เรามาดูกันครับว่าเรื่องเล็กๆ น้อยๆ ที่ผมรวบรวมมาได้ขณะที่ไปเที่ยวรัสเซียนั้นมีอะไรบ้าง พร้อมแล้วเราไปชมกันเลยครับ

Each country has its own culture, way of life, and unique environment. Learning about these aspects before visiting a particular country allows us to smoothly navigate and enjoy our travels. Visiting Russia is the same. If we know some small details beforehand, it ensures that we don’t miss out on anything important and enables us to have a deeper travel experience. Today, let’s take a look at some of the interesting tidbits I have gathered while exploring Russia and embark on this journey together.

 

1. เนื่องจากการเที่ยวในมอสโควและเซนต์ปีเตอร์สเบิร์กนั้นเน้นเที่ยวโดยการเดินเป็นหลัก เพราะถึงแม้การเดินทางจะสะดวกด้วยระบบขนส่งมวลชนก็ตาม แต่การเข้าถึงสถานที่ท่องเที่ยวก็ต้องเดินเข้าไปด้วยระยะพอสมควรซึ่งมีตั้งแต่ 300 เมตรจนถึง 2 กิโลเมตร ดังนั้นรองเท้าคู่ใจเป็นสิ่งสำคัญมาก ควรเลือกรองเท้าที่เราเดินแล้วรู้สึกสบายเท้าที่สุด และหากไปเที่ยวในฤดูหนาวที่มีหิมะตกควรเตรียมรองเท้ากันหิมะที่ช่วยรักษาความอบอุ่นของเท้าและกันลื่นไปด้วย

1. Exploring Moscow and Saint Petersburg primarily involves walking as the main mode of transportation. Although public transportation is convenient, accessing tourist attractions often requires walking distances ranging from 300 meters to 2 kilometers. Therefore, comfortable footwear is crucial. It’s important to choose shoes that you feel most comfortable walking in. Additionally, if you’re visiting during the snowy winter season, it’s advisable to prepare snow-resistant shoes to keep your feet warm and prevent slipping.

2. การซื้อของหรือสินค้าที่รัสเซีย เช่น ซุปเปอร์มาร์เกต หรือร้านค้าต่างๆ มักไม่มีถุงพลาสติกใส่ของให้ หากจะเอาถุงพลาสติกต้องเสียเงินซื้อเองที่แคชเชียร์ ดังนั้นควรเตรียมถุงสำหรับใส่ของไปด้วยหรืออาจจะใส่ในกระเป๋าเป้เราแทนก็ได้

2. When shopping in Russia, such as at supermarkets or various stores, it is common for them not to provide plastic bags for your purchases. If you want a plastic bag, you will have to pay for it at the cashier. Therefore, it is advisable to prepare your own bags or consider using your backpack instead.

3. คนรัสเซียไม่พูดภาษาอังกฤษเลย ซึ่งรวมถึงเจ้าหน้าที่สนามบินบางหรือพนักงานโรงแรมบางที่ด้วย น้อยคนที่สามารถพูดได้ ดังนั้นจึงควรดาวน์โหลดแอพลิเคชันแปลภาษาเช่น Google translate ติดไปด้วยเผื่อจำเป็นต้องใช้ และควรถ่ายรูปสถานที่ท่องเที่ยวพร้อมชื่อเป็นภาษารัสเซียติดตัวไปในสมาร์ทโฟนหรือแท็บเลตด้วย เพื่อใช้โชว์ให้คนที่นั่นดูในกรณีที่เราถามทาง

3. Russians generally do not speak English, including some airport staff and hotel employees. Only a few people can communicate in English. Therefore, it is advisable to download translation apps like Google Translate as a backup in case you need to use them. It’s also recommended to take pictures of tourist attractions along with their names written in Russian and keep them on your smartphone or tablet. This way, you can show them to locals in case you need directions or assistance.

4. คนรัสเซียไม่ได้ออกเสียงชื่อเมืองมอสโควและเซนต์ปีเตอร์เบิร์กเหมือนที่เราเรียกกัน โดยมอสโควนั้นคนรัสเซียออกเสียว่า “มัสควา” บางครั้งในเว็บไชต์ของรัสเซียเวอร์ชั่นภาษาอังกฤษอาจไม่ได้เขียนว่า Moscow แต่อาจเขียนเป็น Moskva ส่วนเซนต์ปีเตอร์เบิร์กคนรัสเซียออกเสียว่า “ซังค์ – ปีเตอร์สบูร์ก” หรือ Sankt – Petersburg

4. People in Russia do not pronounce the names of the cities Moscow and Saint Petersburg the way we commonly refer to them. For instance, Moscow is pronounced as “Maskva” by Russians. Sometimes, on Russian websites or English versions of Russian websites, you may come across the name Moscow written as “Moskva.” As for Saint Petersburg, it is pronounced as “Sankt-Peterburg” by Russians, or “Sankt Petersburg” in English.

5. การซื้อซิมการ์ดที่รัสเซียสามารถซื้อได้ที่สนามบินในวันแรกที่เราไปถึงเลยก็ได้ เคาน์เตอร์หรือร้านขายซิมการ์ดหาได้ทั่วไปตามสนามบิน หรืออาจจะซื้อในเมืองตามเคาน์เตอร์หรือร้านสถานีรถไฟและตามย่านร้านค้าก็ได้ ที่รัสเซียใช้ทั้งระบบ 3G และ 4G ซึ่งราคาค่าบริการค่อนข้างถูก โดยซิมการ์ด 4G แบบเติมเงินราคาประมาณ 500 รูเบิล (ประมาณ 300 บาท) สามารถใช้ 4G ได้สูงสุด 10GB เลยทีเดียว แต่ต้องแจ้งคนขายว่าเราจะซื้อซิมการ์ดที่ใช้ได้ทั้งมอสโควและเซนต์ปีเตอร์สเบิร์ก มิฉะนั้นเราจะได้ซิมการ์ดที่ใช้ได้แค่เมืองเดียว ต้องเสียเวลาซื้อใหม่หากต้องเดินทางไปอีกเมือง

5. You can purchase a SIM card in Russia upon your arrival at the airport on the first day. Counters or stores selling SIM cards are generally available at airports, or you can buy them at counters or stores at train stations and in shopping districts within the city. In Russia, both 3G and 4G networks are used, and the service charges are relatively affordable. A prepaid 4G SIM card, priced at around 500 rubles (approximately 10 USD), can provide up to 10GB of 4G data. However, it’s important to inform the seller that you want a SIM card that works in both Moscow and Saint Petersburg; otherwise, you may end up with a SIM card that only works in one city. It would be time-consuming to purchase a new SIM card if you need to travel to another city.

6. หากไปเที่ยวรัสเซียในช่วงฤดูท่องเที่ยว (High – Season) ประมาณช่วงเดือนมีนาคม – กันยายน ควรเผื่อเวลาต่อแถวซื้อตั๋วด้วย เพราะคิวจะค่อนข้างยาว บางสถานที่เช่นพระราชวังเครมลินหรือพิพิธภัณฑ์เฮอมิเทจอาจจะใช้เวลาในการต่อคิวนานถึง 1 ชั่วโมง

6. If you’re traveling to Russia during the high season (approximately March to September), it’s advisable to allocate extra time for queuing to purchase tickets. Queues can be quite long. For certain attractions like the Kremlin or the Hermitage Museum, you may need to wait in line for up to an hour.

7. นอกจากแอพลิเคชันแปลภาษาแล้ว ควรโหลดแอพลิเคชันประเภทแผนที่เช่น Google map ไปด้วยเพื่อใช้นำทางในกรณีเดินหาสถานที่เที่ยวไม่พบ

7. In addition to translation apps, it is recommended to download map applications such as Google Maps to assist with navigation in case you cannot find certain tourist attractions while walking.

8. ห้องน้ำในมอสโควและเซนต์ปีเตอร์สเบิร์กหาได้ทั่วไป ซึ่งมีทั้งแบบในตัวอาคารเช่น ห้างสรรพสินค้า สถานีรถไฟ สถานที่ท่องเที่ยว เป็นต้น และแบบอยู่ภายนอกอาคารคล้ายกับห้องน้ำสาธารณะ เช่นตามแหล่งร้านค้าหรือตามหน้าสถานีเมโทร โดยสังเกตบ้ายที่บอกทางไปห้องน้ำภาษารัสเซียว่า “Туалет” แต่ห้องน้ำแทบทุกที่จะต้องเสียเงินเข้าครั้งละประมาณ 20 – 50 รูเบิล (ประมาณ 12 – 30 บาท) ยกเว้นสถานที่ท่องเที่ยวที่เสียเงินเข้าชมจะมีห้องน้ำให้ใช้ฟรี และตามสถานีรถไฟหากโชว์ตั๋วรถไฟก็จะให้เข้าฟรีเช่นกัน

8. Restrooms in Moscow and St. Petersburg are generally available in various locations, both within buildings such as shopping malls, train stations, and tourist sites, as well as in outdoor settings resembling public restrooms, such as near shopping areas or metro stations. Look for signs indicating the way to the restroom, which is referred to as “Туалет” in Russian. However, almost everywhere you go, you will need to pay a fee of approximately 20-50 rubles (around 0.50 – 1.00 USD) per use, except for certain tourist attractions that provide free restroom facilities. Additionally, when presenting a train ticket at a train station, you may also be granted free access to the restroom.

9. คนรัสเซียนิยมออกมาเดินเล่นนอกบ้านตามย่านชุมชน ศูนย์การค้า และสวนสาธารณะมากโดยเฉพาะในช่วงเย็นถึงค่ำที่มักออกมากเป็นครอบครัว เนื่องจากทางการรัสเซียไม่ให้สร้างบ้านในตัวเมือง ผู้คนจึงต้องอยู่ตามอพาร์ทเมนต์หรือคอนโดมิเนียม สถานที่พักผ่อนเปิดหูเปิดตาจึงต้องออกมาด้านนอกอาคารเท่านั้น

9. People in Russia enjoy going out and exploring outside their homes, especially in neighborhood areas, shopping centers, and public parks. This is particularly common during the evening hours until dusk, often with their families. Due to urban regulations in Russia, building houses within the city itself is not allowed. As a result, people tend to reside in apartments or condominiums. Therefore, recreational activities take place outside the buildings, where people can relax and enjoy their time.

10. หากเราจองที่พักเป็นแบบโฮสเทล เราควรส่งอีเมล์ไปยืนยันเวลาเข้าเช็คอินกับทางโรงแรมก่อนสักประมาณ 1 สัปดาห์และควรถามวิธีการเดินทางไปโฮสเทลด้วย เพราะลักษณะโฮสเทลที่รัสเซียนั้นไม่เหมือนกับโรงแรม แต่จะเป็นห้องอยู่ตามอพาร์ทเมนต์ทำให้เราสังเกตหาทางเข้าค่อนข้างยาก และส่วนมากจะต้องกดรหัสที่ประตูหน้าเพื่อเปิดประตูก่อนเข้าตัวอาคาร ดังนั้นจึงควรถามรหัสเข้าอาคารกับทางโฮสเทลด้วย

10. If we book accommodation as a hostel, it is advisable to send an email to confirm the check-in time with the hotel about a week in advance. It is also recommended to inquire about the directions to the hostel, as the nature of hostels in Russia is different from traditional hotels. Hostels are typically located within apartment buildings, making it challenging to find the entrance. Additionally, most hostels require entering a door code to access the building, so it’s essential to ask the hostel staff for the entry code.

11. ในขบวนรถไฟตู้นอนจะมีปลั๊กสำหรับชาร์ตไฟให้ตู้ละ 2 จุดซึ่งใช้ชาร์ตโทรศัพท์หรือแท็บเลตได้ แต่จะจ่ายไฟแค่ตอนรถไฟกำลังวิ่งเท่านั้น

11. In the sleeper train, there are power outlets available in each compartment, with two sockets provided for charging devices such as phones or tablets. However, the power supply is only available while the train is in motion.

12. มอสโควกับเซนต์ปีเตอร์สเบิร์กนั้นไม่มีสะพานลอยสำหรับข้ามถนน ต้องข้ามโดยการลอดอุโมงค์ (ตามสถานีเมโทร) หรือทางม้าลายเท่านั้น แต่คนรัสเซียขับรถค่อนข้างให้เกียรติกับคนเดินเท้าซึ่งรถแทบทุกคันจะหยุดให้โดยอัตโนมัติเมื่อเห็นคนยืนรอข้ามถนนที่ทางม้าลาย

12. Moscow and Saint Petersburg do not have pedestrian bridges (overpass) for crossing the streets. People have to cross by using underpasses (near metro stations) or crosswalk . However, Russian drivers are generally respectful towards pedestrians, and almost every car will automatically stop when they see someone waiting to cross the road at the crosswalk.

13. ตามสถานีเมโทรหรือสถานีรถไฟทุกแห่งในรัสเซียค่อนข้างเข้มงวดเรื่องการตรวจค้นสัมภาระ จึงไม่ต้องแปลกใจหากเราโดนขอร้องให้เปิดกระเป๋าค้นโดยละเอียดหรือต้องเข้าเครื่องเอกซ์เรย์ ทั้งนี้เพื่อเหตุผลทางด้านความปลอดภัย

13. At every metro station or train station in Russia, there are strict security checks. So, don’t be surprised if you’re asked to open your bags for a thorough inspection or go through an X-ray machine. This is done for security reasons, ensuring safety for everyone.

14. ของฝากยอดฮิตที่นิยมซื้อจากรัสเซียเลยคงหนีไม่พ้นตุ๊กตามาโตรสก้าหรือตุ๊กตาแม่ลูกดก (Matryoshka) ซึ่งทำมาจากไม้ ราคาก็ขึ้นอยู่กับขนาดและความสวยงาม ซึ่งมีตั้งแต่ตัวละ 150 รูเบิล (ประมาณ 90 บาท) จนถึงขนาดใหญ่ที่มีราคาเป็นหมื่น

14. One popular souvenir that people love to buy from Russia is definitely the Matryoshka nesting dolls. These dolls are made of wood and come in various sizes and beautiful designs. The price varies depending on the size and intricacy, starting from around 150 rubles (approximately 3 USD) for a single doll, all the way up to tens of thousands for larger sizes.

 15. อย่ากลัวที่จะถามทางคนรัสเซีย เพราะถึงแม้ว่าหน้าตาจะไม่ยิ้มแย้มและขอย้ำอีกครั้งว่าคนที่นั่นใจดีมาก และถึงแม้จะพูดภาษาอังกฤษไม่ได้เขาก็จะพยายามบอกทางเราโดยภาษามือหรือชี้บอกบนแผนที่

15. Don’t be afraid to ask for directions from Russians, because even though they may not smile and I want to emphasize again that the people there are very kind-hearted. Even if they can’t speak English, they will try to guide us using hand gestures or pointing on the map.
